For the establishment of “ONLY BSBO Gallery”, it is the result of our long-cherished dream, although it came true sooner than we expected. With this art gallery as a starting point, we wish to create more market opportunities for modern artists. “Bo” means someone who knows your merits; “Platinum” is a powerfully radioactive trace element. With the aim of exploring and discovering modern oil painting artists and of providing the driving force of creation for artists who take arts as their life, this art gallery serves as a solid bridge between collectors and art products. I hereby take this opportunity to express thanks to my parents and two younger sisters for their selfless support. Director of the Art Gallery: Yuan’er

Preamble
At 12:03, October 16, 2007, Li Jinyang, his nickname Xiao Jiang, had a long dreamt-of baby eight years after he got married. Although it is not a boy as he was anxious for, “Boy or girl, quality is more important”, said he, when his lovely daughter was born.
His daughter lives with her grandma, who takes care of her. He cannot help but leave her to her grandma, for he has to face and subject himself to the hard life. When staying with her daughter, he as a father does nothing but tells tales that are incomprehensible for her age. His story goes like “Goose, Goose, Goose, Hi! /You with a long-crooked neck sing to the sky/Floating on green water by feathers in white/With red-webbed feet stirring in blue dye”, while he is painting on a piece of waste paper according to the story.
Yuan’er, Xiao Jiang’s wife, had been a painter nine years before they moved to Beijing to seek more opportunities. When residing in Beijing, Xiao Jiang, who used to be a practitioner of traditional Chinese medicine, and his wife, had to do office work for a living. Their daughter was born after their eighth wedding anniversary was celebrated. Then Yuan’er decided to pursue her artistic career dream. In February 2008, after letting out their apartment in the city, they moved to Xiaopu Village, Songzhuang Town. To realize her artistic dream, fulfill her duty as a mother and make a living, Yuan’er always finds herself on the way to her mother’s home, Songzhuang and her office.
Xiao Jiang always feels guilty, for he does not lives in his hometown to attend to his parents with poor health. Unfortunately, when his daughter was born, his father was critically ill. In those days, his heart was occupied by his father and daughter.
Xiao Jiang tells stories to her daughter by painting, which may be comprehensible to nobody but Xiao Jiang himself. In his paintings, he depicts his grandfather who died recently, his family taking rest in front of a swimming pool, his neighbor’s ducks and dogs playing together, his daughter at Lotus Flower Park, or in Yuan’er’s arms when she was ill, or at her own one hundredth birthday, or learning walk, his lonely mother missing her granddaughter in his hometown, himself missing his daughter when he was in hometown far away from his daughter…
Xiao Jiang makes paintings without deliberate purpose but telling what he really wants to express.
Yuan’er decided to open an art gallery as a gift to celebrate their daughter’s first birthday. Displayed in the art gallery are paintings which tell stories that are incomprehensible to her daughter, audibly other than visibly.
The gallery was named Only BSBO Gallery (“伯·铂画廊”) . “伯” and “博” share the same pronunciation. This name is chosen deliberately to express their best wishes to their daughter.
